Storyboard Project
I really enjoyed the storyboarding project. We had to design this world based on a script, given to us, about pirates. I love using my imagination to create characters and worlds, using the freedom of art with the task of telling the story. However the part that i didn't take much concern over initially was trying to get good camera shots, using camera pans, zooms and cuts etc. effectively. However i think after some advice, i made changes and i think it worked quite successfully. I enjoyed not just being artistic but using clever techniques to help visually portray the story. The other part of this project i loved was assembling the audio and sound effects. I actually created the wind noise at the beginning and the water droplet, with my mouth.
I particularly enjoyed these projects because we had more freedom to decide exactly what our characters did physically. The objective was to create the visual gestures for the audio which was about Dracula (in the first one) and the second one was a project for the 11 second club in which the audio was entirely in indian so we could essentially make up what the audio was about using our characters physically expression. I think the interesting things with all art forms including music and dance etc. (not just drawing, painting and animating type of art, is what i mean) is that they are a language of freedom and allow you to express yourself using these beautiful languages. This is why i enjoyed these projects more, particularly the 11 second club project because it allowed me the freedom of creation, go express myself. So i decided to make it seem as though one slightly larger man was aggressively challenging a thinner man to an arm wrestle. The build up of the audio worked well in my favour because it emphasised the comedic twist that the thinner man actually had one much larger arm.

Here are more Maya animations. To animate the bouncing ball was easy but when i started to animate people at first i found it quite difficult because there are so many components to take into account. Now i find it much easier because these early projects have helped my learn and understand how exactly the body moves when doing certain things.
Flash
Here are the first two things i did on flash, the first being a halloween themed practise to get used to using flash, and the second is a lip sync project. This is my first time using flash and therefore my first time doing 2d computer animation. I enjoyed doing these projects and i think flash is good for basic fun little animations, however i much preferred using maya doing 3d. In this 2d animation, flash can't capture a true sense of how something moves (but it's good for fun things), whereas with maya you can really create a character and a mood or emotion using the 3d tools to enhance expressions and movements..
